Pink Pepper SFE
Pink pepper is best characterized for its remarkable point of view as it lends a spicy yet peppery piquancy to a fragrance. Adding to its layers are notes of bright, sparkling citruses coupled with a woody back to usher in an overt dose of aromatic freshness.
Sustainable: The Pink Pepper SFE process preserves all the facets and the natural profile identity to guarantee a high-purity extract. Before entering the SFE process, the harvesting and cultivation are carefully maintained by small and medium landholders, mainly for the food industry, to ensure the highest quality.
SFE, also known as Supercritical CO2 Extraction, is a technology in which carbon dioxide, put beyond its critical point (73 bars and 30°C), becomes a supercritical fluid with special properties. The extraction carried out at a low temperature preserves the natural profile identity of the raw material.
Purpose: Respecting the earth by maintaining small batch production and also innovating through new extraction techniques by using “less” to create more with respect to the power and potency of the ingredient.

Australian Sandalwood
A stunning ingredient in perfumery known for its innate woodiness. It is built up with striking facets of smooth creaminess and an unmatched, sophisticated sweetness that brings roundness, long-lastingness, and sensuality to the fragrance.
Sustainable: As the sandalwood is a valued tree in perfumery, it is imperative to create the best possible growing conditions to yield a sustainable & consistent output. The tree is taken care of by independent farmers and government agencies to promote biodiversity. When it is between 15 and 20 years old, sandalwood is harvested during the dry months, to make way for a new circle of life.
Purpose: Kindness to the earth by respecting nature and allowing the tree to reach its full potential.

Jasmine India Absolute
Jasmine India Absolute: A prized possession in the perfumery palette, jasmine is seen as “The Flower” as it enhances an olfactive structure with beautiful depth and complexity. This delicate flower conveys a rich sweetness that is enveloped in a powerful yet inviting fruitiness to make its mark.
Sustainable: An ethical harvesting process is achieved when sourcing for jasmine. The flowers are hand-picked early in the morning before the sun drives away the aroma. Beyond that, DSM-Firmenich works with a dedicated local team to provide a unique direct sourcing network with jasmine farmers in Tamil Nadu, India, through long-term contracts, advance payments, provision of seedlings, and technical assistance. Firmenich also works with them on sustainable agriculture improvements, especially in terms of the development of organic practices and ingenious irrigation.
Purpose: Kindness to people by equipping them with the tools to make a just and stable living.

Petitgrain Essential Oil
Derived from the bitter orange tree, the Petitgrain Essential Oil is achieved through a distillation of its leaves and green twigs. The result is a bright, green floral note that enhances a fragrance’s bouquet.
Sustainable: Firmenich sources its petitgrain from the San Pedro region of Paraguay, an area known for its sunny climate, ideal for growing citrus. Paraguay petitgrain is known for its characteristic tonality. Every day from October to March, smallholder farmers carefully cut the leaves from the tree by hand. These are left standing for 24 hours before being processed by the farmers themselves.
Purpose: Kindness to the craft by carefully cutting the leaves and ensuring that tradition is respected.
